How to update or flag asset as missing in business bulk mode

Step 1

The following explains the instruction numbers in the diagram above:

1 : Ensure the bulk mode is on (showing as green)

2 : Use this form to set the bulk update scope criteria, and the current status of assets that should be affected by this update

3 : Use this form to specify the update that should be made to your assets that match the criteria specified above

4 : Specify the new asset status that will be assigned to the matched assets. If the asset gets missing or stolen, you can set the status thus; and specify the appropriate public information that will be displayed when the asset is searched.

5 : Click the import button to upload your one-column data matching the unique property identifier specified in step 2. After uploading the data, click the validate button. The system will check the validity of the imported data, and the result will be shown in grid as shown below.

Step 2

The following explains the instruction numbers in the diagram above:

1 : The validation grid shows validity analysis of the imported data. The rows highlighted in pink have no valid data based on the unique identifier header, and will not be used.

2 : This shows the summary validity analysis of the imported data.

3 : Click on the apply bulk button to update the assets with valid identifier and matching assets, that is items highlighted in light green.
