Is registration and membership free

Yes, but some operations within the portal will require you have payment credit in your account, or have you subscribe to payable package.

What type of assets can I register

Any asset with unique global, or manufacturer, or national identification number can be added to myAssetLookup. Asset can be added under any of these asset groups: computers, phones, vehicles, home and office electronics, power equipment, and motorcycle.

My asset group is not listed

Send email to assetgroup@myassetlookup.com stating the suggested group name. We will consider adding the asset group if considered popular.

My asset manufacturer is not listed

Within the appropriate asset group, select the 'Add manufacturer' button, and add the manufacturer in the form shown at the bottom of the page. Note, asset search is conducted across items within a group without recourse to the manufacturer or category under which it is listed.

My asset category is not listed

Add your asset under any of the listed categories. Note, asset search is conducted across items within a group without recourse to the manufacturer or category under which it is listed.

I cannot reply a mail in my inbox

System mails are notifications that are not meant to be responded to.

Within my business team account, I cannot carry out some operation, select some menu, or access some asset group options

Contact your business account registrant or administrator to grant you the necessary access.

Some asset status options are disabled for selection

Based on the current asset status, only the asset status considered eligible for the next move are enabled.

Asset status cannot be updated as field is disabled

The current status of the asset has reached the freeze or final stage of its life cycle and further changes are not allowed.

Can the same asset be registered by different members

Yes, the current owner of an asset at any point in time can have it added to myAssetLookup. However, when searched the various ownership records and the status history will be displayed for each of them. The registration date will indicate ownership history of the asset. Also, myAssetLookup has auto transfer option by which two parties can transfer asset between them, and this will be captured in the asset history during search operation.

Asset search result shows that the item is displaying stolen or missing status, what should I do

Do not purchase any asset whose latest or most recent status is flagged as stolen or missing. Also, do not purchase an item that has stolen or missing status anywhere in its history, except the same ownership history has a recovery status after it was declared stolen or missing.

How do I flag my asset as stolen or missing

Sign-in to myAssetLookup, and select the update option from the main menu bar; then, select the appropriate asset group for the target asset. Individual member: select your item from the list; while business member should: select the target product, and select the target item from the listed assets. Enter the public information to be displayed when the item is searched, and reason for changing the status. Then, from the current status list, select stolen or missing as appropriate.

How do I access the in-mail feature

From the main menu bar, click on the inbox icon.

I want to register as business member without registering as an individual

You must first register as an individual member, then from the main menu bar, click on the more icon, from the drop down list; select the add business account option.

After joining a business team, how can I access the business team's profile and operations

The initial sign-in to myAssetLookup, links you with your individual profile; to switch to your team's business profile; using the access mode drop down list, choose the desired business account.

How do I invite members to join my business team

Sign-in, and from the organisation list, select your business account to use the business profile. Then from the main menu bar, click on the more icon, from the drop down list; select Team Membership - Invitation.

Can I be a team member to more than one business account

Yes, it is allowed for registered agents and subject to prior approval from myAssetLookup, contact agent@myassetlookup.com.

Can I register more than one business account with my individual account

Yes, allowed for registered agents and subject to prior approval from myAssetLookup, contact agent@myassetlookup.com.

I have added business account, how do I access it

When you open a business account, an activation email will be sent to you email account, check your email to activate he account. After activation, logout out, and signin again, and from the organisation drop down box, select your business account. Note, that operations between your individual and any selected business account are distinct.

Can I use the available credit in my business account for individual account operations

No, the accounts are different, and their available credit are distinct.

How do I buy credit

At the top right of the myAssetLookup screen, click the Myplan icon, and click on the link within the drop menu.
